The word “Sarvet” is composed of two syllables: “sar” and “vet”. The first part, “sar”, is derived from the word “Sarakbi”, the family name of the founder. The second syllable, “vet”, is derived from the English word, “veterinary”, which is an adjective related to diseases and treatment of animals

After he received his Ph.D. in poultry diseases from Cairo University in 1981, Dr. Turk Sarakbi has started his professional career as a veterinarian specialized in poultry diseases and production. Soon enough he became a well-known expert in the field and worked as a supervisor and technical consultant in several companies in Yemen and the Middle East. During the period from 1995 until 2010, he established several institutions and private companies to provide the best technical services and veterinary products to poultry firms & farms in Yemen, as well as technical and marketing consultations for several global and regional companies that work in the field of poultry and animal health industry.
This extensive expertise cultivated throughout the years constituted the seed of Sarvet Poultry that was born in 2010 with a new vision of keeping pace with the new global trends in poultry & animal health industries.
